They get the job done. They might be a little sharp on the highs for my ears but I’m playing with the eq even still. They still have a good sound though.

Much better than stock

Don’t know what crutchfield is talking about, but these speakers DO fit a 2003 chevy s-10 in the dash. The only modification I had to do was cut the speaker cover stand-off’s down the thickness of the plastic plate that came with the speakers. Much better sound than stock, duh.

$10 cheaper than Crutchfield, can’t beat it. The itty bitty nuts and bolts that hold on the screw guide can be a pain to get on there – be careful not to drop them! It doesn’t come with extras.

Great little TV

I was a little skeptical about ordering this item, as there was only 1 review. The review however, was very good.
So I decided to order and can not tell you how pleased I am wth this tv. It came sooner than promised, packaging was great, easy to set up, and sound and picture are great. The DVD function is easy to figure out. I am very happy with my purchase and would give it 5 stars across the board.

Great TV – DVD Combo!

I found this TV to be just right. I needed a smaller size for a small bed-room, this fits perfectly. The picture quality is as good as my $500 TV and the sound quality is acceptable.
What I really like is the ease to be able to pop in a DVD and watch it on the TV. remote control, connections, etc are all pretty much standard.

Squaretrade is as good as their word! (don’t throw away your receipt)

I purchased a 42″ flat screen tv a few years ago, and was naturally concerned about what to do after the 1 year manufacturer’s warranty had expired. The store offered its own extended warranty program, but I was hesitant about putting down hundreds of dollars for a 3 year extended warranty. Surely there was something more economical with the same, or better service?

I heard, via word of mouth, of a third-party alternative called Squaretrade. Intrigued, I checked reseller ratings, and was very shocked to see a lifetime rating of 9.7. I read many of the reviews, and they all consistently praised ST’s dedication to fulfilling its warranty promises. Of the few that were not pleased with ST service (and some of them were the customer’s fault), I was impressed by the follow-up messages left by ST’s representatives to resolve the situation.

Convinced, I ended up purchasing a 3 year warranty through Squaretrade, for just ~$40. ST runs monthly %-off discounts, so you can always get a very good bargain. To clarify, if I remember correctly, the 3 year warranty is really a 2 year warranty, since the first year overlaps with the first year of the manufacturer’s warranty. However, you should read the fine print to double check.

Talk about knocking on wood. My TV broke recently, and so I submitted my claim form to ST, which primarily comprised faxing a copy of my receipt to them (don’t throw it away!), and describing my problem. I was expecting a reply a few months later, but Squaretrade promises resolution in less than week. I was shocked to find in my email inbox, a message from ST indicating that since it was cost prohibitive to ship my TV back to them for repairs, they would instead be refunding my original purchase price in its entirety, through PayPal. Sure enough, the money was sent the next day.

This is legendary service, the kind consumers dream about. You can buy a ST warranty with complete confidence, and be assured of their guarantees. Regarding TVs, they will not cover certain issues, e.g. burn-in on a plasma, and lamp replacements on DLPs. Again, check the fine print (don’t worry, there’s not too much to read).

I’m going to be buying all my warranties through ST in the future, recommending them to my friends and families, and making sure my children, and my children’s children buy Squaretrade warranties. I wholeheartedly recommend them (and no, I’m not getting paid by ST to write this review).

Audio could use some work

The picture quality is pretty good but the audio is lacking. The sound is quite tinny and seems to echo if you have to turn the volume up to any point above 1/3 the maximum volume. There is also a several second delay when you turn the unit on before a picture appears. We were never able to find a remote code that works with tivo so we constantly have to have two remotes in hand.

Edited to add: The audio is so annoying that we are returning the tv. It’s just too difficult to listen to it. I wish I could lower my star rating.

Good value, great picture

I bought this product last week. I wanted a name brand, and this was the best deal. Some sets this size and price don’t have HDMI, or have only one input. The picture is fine I don’t have a problem with the sound- it’s what you expect from small speakers.

I got this to replace a small CRT. There are 2 HDMI inputs, plus the 5 wire color-coded input from a cable box, which is what I’m using. Add to that analog PC input, S-video, RCA and audio input from a PC. If you want to use this as a computer monitor, be aware the screen does not tilt.

This would be a good TV for a dorm room, which is where it may end up if my daughter gets her hands on it!

Update: Just before the return period ended, the set stopped working. Great while it lasted!
I was able to get something else a little bigger.

Good television for the price

I bought this television recently at Sears on sale for 200 dollars. The picture quality is good (not great, but good) and sound quality is okay as well. I understand how some people might be frustrated with the picture and the sound, but a name brand 19 inch 720p HDTV with two HDMI inputs for 200? I was impressed. You shouldn’t expect the quality of say a Samsung or Sony for this price, but realistically, like I’ve said this is an excellent buy for a small room. People expect to much.
